Agentic Keyboard & AI Keyboard Apps

The agentic keyboard category is still early. Acti is one of the clearest examples of a keyboard designed to take action across apps. Adjacent tools such as Wispr Flow, Gboard with Gemini, SwiftKey, ChatGPT mobile, and Perplexity show related AI keyboard or mobile agent patterns, even when they are not fully agentic keyboards.

Choose based on the job you want done. If you mainly need better writing, grammar, dictation, or tone control, an AI keyboard may be enough. If you want the keyboard to search, book, share, or trigger workflows across apps, look for an agentic keyboard or mobile AI agent with explicit action-taking features.

Support varies by product. Acti, Gboard, SwiftKey, and Grammarly support iOS and Android with different feature sets. Wispr Flow supports iPhone and Android, with different features on mobile and desktop.

Review keyboard access, contacts, calendar, location, microphone, and third-party service permissions. A trustworthy agentic keyboard should explain why each permission is needed, let you opt into sensitive integrations, and avoid sending unnecessary private text to cloud services.
