Is this the iPhone keyboard or the desktop app?

DictaFlow has both. This guide covers Ryan Shrott’s iPhone and iPad keyboard, App Store ID 6760958271. Its listing describes punctuation, filler removal, custom vocabulary, and transcription history. These are published capabilities, not results of our own accuracy tests.

The official website also covers Windows and Mac hotkeys, Citrix, and Remote Desktop. Those desktop features do not establish what the iPhone keyboard can do. Follow the App Store link above for the mobile app.

How much does DictaFlow cost?

The free allowance is 2,000 words per month. The U.S. App Store lists Pro at $7.99 monthly or $79.99 yearly; the website advertises $7 monthly or $69 yearly. These are different purchase-channel prices, checked September 6, 2026. Use the final checkout for your region and do not assume subscriptions transfer between channels without confirmation.

The website distinguishes unlimited local dictation from cloud allowances: 100,000 cloud words on monthly Pro and 200,000 on annual Pro. The store’s broad “unlimited” description does not resolve those limits. Before paying, check which allowance and local features your installed iPhone version offers.

Set up and test the iPhone keyboard

Install the linked app and follow its onboarding. In iPhone Settings, open General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard, then choose DictaFlow. Return to an ordinary Notes text field and use the globe control to switch keyboards. Grant microphone permission when prompted; review any Full Access request before enabling it.

Try a disposable sentence with a name, number, and correction: “Send the draft to Mina on Tuesday, actually Wednesday, at three.” Inspect whether the app preserves your intended date. This is a suggested test, not a recorded DictaFlow result.

If it does not appear, confirm the keyboard is enabled and test in another ordinary text field. If recording fails, check microphone permission. Desktop shortcut troubleshooting is not an iPhone setup guide. We have not verified every onboarding screen or app combination.

Does DictaFlow keep audio or text?

The privacy policy describes processing by DictaFlow and service providers, including OpenAI, Deepgram, and Groq. It says audio is ordinarily discarded after processing, while transcripts may be retained for selected features, synchronization, support, recovery, or legal obligations. That is not a blanket zero-retention promise.

Local model options appear in the iOS release history. Confirm the selected mode on your device rather than assuming all transcription and cleanup are offline. We have not audited network traffic.

The standard service’s policy expressly excludes patient information and directs medical use to a separate product and applicable agreement. A “Medical” vocabulary category in marketing is not permission to submit patient records.

Is it worth trying?

Our recommendation: use the free allowance to compare one real writing task against your existing dictation. Count corrections and time spent fixing output, then test the same sentence in a second app. Upgrade only if the workflow improvement is repeatable.
